your time requires basic self management skills it is important
to know what you are currently spending your time on. Are

When running your daily operations at work and at home, it
is important to be conscious at your actions in order to accomplish

the resources available to you which could help you leverage

Make Quick Decisions
You need to be able to make quick decisions. Remember that
clarity is power. Knowing exactly what you want will give
you the focus that you need to reach your goals. By making
a decision you have already done the hardest step in accomplishing
any goal. Begin by being clear on what you want and imagine
that you had already achieved that goal. Then work backwards
by ask yourself and write down what you need to do first to
reach the goal? Then, write down the step you took before
you could reach that step? Then what step did you need to

suggestion will help you plan out the strategies you need
to take to reach your ultimate objective and in order to be

is a skill that can be learned, and all it takes is some practice

Invest your time
Everyone has the same 24 hours in a day. It’s what
you do with them that count. To be more effective, study what
the pros in your industry do with their time. Get help from
a mentor or coach, if possible. Or attend a workshop or seminar
on time management to learn more. Then practice, practice,
practice. No need to re-make the wheel. Simply model the time
management strategies of that of your coach or mentor. Then
customise the systems you have learnt to your own plans, priorities
and task scheduling. Then tackle your plan and adjust as needed.
Know your Purpose
The most important thing in any time management strategy
is to know why you are doing what you’re doing. You
need define the purpose of your objective. This will not only

for attaining it. For example if you’re your outcome
is to paint the house within one week, the purpose may be
to sell it at the dollar amount value you want within the
month. Knowing this purpose will help you define what means
to use. You will have clarity on whether to get a bigger brush
or getting someone else to do it for you so you can focus
on more important things like marketing. Being clear on your
purpose makes life and decision making easier.
Priortise Intelligently
Now that you have decided on the strategies, you need to
put them in order of priority. Prioritising your tasks will
help you decide on which strategy to focus on first. This
must be done in order of importance. You must define which
actions to do first that will make the biggest difference
in help you produce the results you want. Once you have organised
you list look at the top four and start to action each one.

“flow”. Taking immediate actions as soon as you
have constructed you plan will set a cause in effect .It is

creating the result you desire.

ensure success with your time management. Be aware of you’re
the results you are getting, adjust if necessary and never
