Overview

Knowing how to present effectively is one of the most important skills that any leader should acquire. Any presentation is a failure if the audience does not understand or are not persuaded of the true message you are trying to deliver. A customer’s time is wasted if they leave without realising the full value of your product. The objective of this method communication is to make your audience understand and remember your message.

A presentation enables you to convey your message effectively to your team or colleagues in order to get things done. This course will teach you to prepare for any presentation and good preparation is the key to confidence.

On completion of the program participants will be able to:

  • Structure a presentation using an introduction, body and conclusion
  • Demonstrate effective voice control
  • Demonstrate effective spatial positioning and timing
  • Use posture, presence and body movement to reinforce their message
  • Control rhythm, speed, volume and pitch during presentations
  • Use supporting media to add impact to presentations
  • Feel confident, if the technology fails, they can deliver a presentation without PowerPoint ®
  • Overcome nerves and anxiety through “anchoring” techniques
  • Apply basic adult learning principals to presentations
  • Recognise and take advantage of the learning styles and sensory preferences of your audience
  • Design testing and teaching questions to support learning
